Gusting winds, sweltering heat and predictions for thunderstorms didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of local REALTORS®, friends and sponsors at the REALTORS® Association of Hamilton-Burlington’s (RAHB) 20th annual Charity Golf Tournament…
Wednesday, July 5, 2017 marks the twelfth REALTORS Care® Foundation Motorcycle Ride for Charity! This scenic fundraising event gathers together REALTORS® from across Ontario (on motorcycles!) to raise money for local shelter-related causes.
The Children’s Fund Campaign began in 1976 as a charitable initiative to help raise money for disadvantaged children during the holiday season. Over the 28 years of the partnership, RAHB’s annual auction has raised over $1,014,000 for the charity, making RAHB its single largest contributor!
Members, sponsors and friends of the REALTORS® Association of Hamilton-Burlington (RAHB) showed their generosity and community spirit by raising over $48,500 for the 900CHML/Y108/ 953 Fresh FM Children’s Fund.
Affordable rental housing can be hard to find in the Hamilton area, and Indwell (formerly Homestead Christian Care) is addressing the need by building Rudy Hulst Commons, a permanently affordable housing complex in Hamilton’s East End. The block will also house Indwell’s new headquarters and street-level commercial units.
Thanks to the dedicated efforts of the golf task force, REALTORS® and sponsors, over $12,067 was raised for the Home Ownership Affordability Program (HOAP) and the Karan Barker Memorial Scholarship Fund! The RAHB Charity Golf Tournament has raised over $224,000 in support of local charities since 1997.
While REALTORS® hit the road on the Motorcycle Ride for Charity to raise funds for the REALTORS Care® Foundation this morning, the REALTORS® Association of Hamilton Burlington (RAHB) made its own contribution to the Foundation by presenting a cheque for $32,250 to Foundation director Jenny Kotulak.
