Senior Market Analyst, CMHC
Anthony Passarelli is CMHC’s Senior Market Analyst for Hamilton. Anthony produces the region’s Housing Market Outlook, Housing Market Assessment and Rental Market Report publications. Additionally, he delivers presentations to local stakeholders and responds to media requests. Anthony has been with CMHC since 2008, having also been the analyst for the London, Waterloo and Windsor markets. He holds an Honours B.A. from the University of Toronto with a major in both Commerce and Political Science.
Thomas E. Lazier
Lawyer, Ross & McBride L.L.P.
Born and raised in Hamilton, Tom practises in the area of real estate with a focus on corporate/commercial law and secured transactions. He joined Lazier Hickey in 1991, and came to Ross & McBride as a result of the two firms’ merging in March 2016. Thomas has a number of professional affiliations such as the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, the Hamilton Law Association, the Hamilton Law Association’s Real Estate Subcommittee, and the Hamilton Lawyers’ Club. In the community, he serves as the Chair of the Idlewyld Manor Foundation.
Senior Appraiser & Consultant, Appraisers Canada Inc
Dan Brewer has almost 40 years of property valuation experience in the private sector. Dan joined the Appraisal Institute of Canada in 1983 and earned his CRA designation in 1988, then his AACI, P.App in 2006. He is a Certified Reserve Fund Planner and Machinery and Equipment Appraiser. During the past 25 years with the Appraisal Institute of Canada, Dan has served on several committees at the chapter, provincial and national levels, and he also speaks at various seminars and conferences in Canada, United States and Europe.
Chief Economist, CREA
As CREA’s Chief Economist, Gregory Klump provides his views on the state of and outlook for Canadian housing markets to news media, policy makers, and real estate industry stakeholders. This year, Gregory celebrates his 25th anniversary with CREA, so it’s fair to say that he’s no stranger to the economics of Canadian housing markets.
Suzanne Mammel is a well-known professional in the land development and home building industry in Hamilton and Halton. Suzanne began her career in the industry over two decades ago, working for the consulting firm A. J. Clarke and Associates Limited in Hamilton. During her tenure at A. J. Clarke , she worked her way up the ladder and became a Partner in 2006. Prior to taking over the role of Executive Officer at the Hamilton Halton Home Builders’ Association in 2014, she chaired their development council from 2011 onwards, and was a Director on their Board.
