Home Ownership Affordability Partnership (HOAP) is a unique program designed to assist families - one family at a time - to move from being tenants in social housing units to becoming homeowners. Over the first five years of the program, ten families in Hamilton have realized their dreams of home ownership.

Provide an opportunity for home ownership to a tenant in social housing

Scotiabank works with families to help them obtain mortgage financing for the HOAP program.
Funding
Funding comes from donations through the City of Hamilton, the REALTORS® Association of Hamilton-Burlington, the Ontario Real Estate Association and from coporate sponsors for individual projects.
