Annual Christmas Charity Auction and Social Event Profile

The REALTORS® Association of Hamilton-Burlington (RAHB) Christmas Charity Auction is back for the 18th incredible year. Once again this year's event will raise funds for the CHML/Y108 Children's Fund, official registered charity of the CHML Christmas Tree of Hope, celebrating their 30th Anniversary in 2006. In total, RAHB has donated over $4,000,000 to the Tree of Hope Campaign.

The monies raised annually help support over 20 local children's causes in the Hamilton/Burlington area, through organizations such as Catholic Children's Aid Society of Hamilton, Children's Aid Foundation of Halton, Salvation Army, Parkdale School Breakfast Program, Muslim Association of Hamilton, Hamilton and District Extend-A-Family, Operation Santa Claus, Good Shepherd Centre and Lynwood Hall Children's and Family Centre. Through the support of the 2005 RAHB Auction, the Christmas Tree of Hope campaign helped channel over $220,000 to local children's causes.

The RAHB Christmas Auction raised over $70,000 in 2005 with over 800 REALTORS® and their associates, friends and family participating. This year, the Auction is being held on:

Thursday, November 16, 2006 beginning at 6:00 pm at Michelangelo's Banquet and Convention Centre, 1555 Upper Ottawa, on Hamilton's east mountain.

This is not just an auction anymore. This is a value packed evening that includes food galore, dancing to the live entertainment of Powerhouse from 10-midnight and is featured as the year end social. Tickets are available at $20 each and are extended to the community-at-large for their enjoyment and support.
